Pet Care Website

A literal pet project for the good folks who cared for our animals in Austin Texas, Friendly Faces was an opportunity to use a bit of whimsy in the world of design.

The owner of Friendly Faces was then known for his distinctive handlebar mustache, and I felt like playing off that theme, along with the sense of freedom that pet owners could have by leaving their animals in the care of these happy folks, would create a unique brand identity. Coupled with Jason Dubinsky’s stunning pet photography (that’s his photo of my dog Belle leaping through the grass in the early homepage designs) Friendly Faces was meant to offer pet owners peace of mind that their animals were being cared for by folks who truly love animals.

Alas the project never really got off the ground (not the way Belle did during her photoshoot) but the memories and the good work remain.
