Experience
SHI International
PROGRAM DIRECTOR, WEB DEVELOPMENT
In the fall of 2021 I joined SHI to help oversee and triage the corporate blog, which had been built on WordPress CMS.
Since that time I’ve developed Marketo landing page templates, integrated OneTrust into all corporate websites, developed high level strategy around the marketing technical landscape, executed site improvement plans via SEMrush, and operated as an essential technical liaison between the Marketing organization and SHIs IT and Infosec groups.
In 2023 I began a rigorous post-graduate course in AI and Machine Learning at the UT McCombs School of Business, graduating 13th in my class. I’m currently using the cutting-edge education from that course to teach prompt engineering to various Marketing functional groups as well as shaping the strategy for how and where we should effectively utilize AI as part of our campaigns and growth strategy.
Snow Software
LEAD WEB DEVELOPER
In October of 2016 I was hired by Snow Software to oversee the corporate Drupal website.
As the company grew and evolved, my role incorporated working directly with the marketing automation platform Marketo in order to seamlessly pass data from the CMS through Marketo, into our Salesforce CRM.
I was responsible for the GDPR rollout and implementation of OneTrust across all corporate sites.
I helped write the initial playbooks and perform the user testing for Snow’s implementation of Drift chat.
I did site development for two major brand overhauls, and the work I did contributed directly to the valuation of the company that led to their being acquired by their largest competitor, Flexera.
ChenMed
DIGITAL SERVICES TEAM LEADER
In 2013 I was hired by ChenMed LLC to work as a member of their newly formed Marketing COE (Center of Excellence) in Miami, Florida. As I began to learn about the company and dive into their rich and complex backlog of projects, I realized there was more development than a single coder could produce.
After being relocated to Richmond, Virginia, I was promoted to a newly-created position: Digital Services Team Lead. From this position I oversaw a group of coders who worked on both the externally-facing websites (developed in Drupal) such as ChenMed.com, JenCareMed.com, ChenMedicalCenters.com, PMRMed.com, CTech.net as well as the Microsoft Sharepoint based inside.chenmed.com that served as the access-controlled corporate intranet. The list of projects continued to grow as my team supported marketing campaigns with landing pages, providing vital analytics data to allow the Sales and Marketing wing of the company to calculate vital information about the ROI for various media campaigns.
Monkee-Boy Web Design
WEB MAINTENANCE MANAGER
In 2012 I joined the team at Monkee-Boy primarily to help support existing clients with website updates and minor improvements.
Over time my role grew, and I eventually had the opportunity to participate in development for many of their projects.
Noteworthy clients included the Texas Department of Transportation, ABC Home and Commercial Pest Control, the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority, and SailPoint Technologies.
Umbrella Media
JUNIOR WEB DEVELOPER
In 2011 I worked with a small firm in Austin called Umbrella Media. Here I did a range of design and development work, including my first complex foray into Drupal CMS.
Some of the projects I participated in included designing the logo and branding for Azul Tequila, building complex logic for carousels on Wavecation, and early development on the SSO dashboards for the Bank of America “member solutions store.”
Special Audience Media
INTERACTIVE DESIGN SPECIALIST
Special Audience was a small firm whose history went back several decades into the early print market in Austin. The clients at SAM were primarily non-profits and charitable causes, and as such many were looking for enterprise level solutions at prices that wouldn’t crush their budgets.
Noteworthy clients included a paralysis recovery program called Roll 2 Walk, print and digital work for Saint David’s Medical Center, and print work for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
